The Pilot Shirt
This fabulous oversized shirt works as is over skinny Linear pants and boots for right now, Drape a gorgeous Kourbela Wrap on top or snuggle into a soft cashmere Incubate piece to add the extra warmth when the temperature plummets. Wear it simply with a pair of blue jeans, rolled to the ankles and with boots or sandals for those after school pick ups, As the weather warms up wear it as a dress with a gorgeous simple thin waist belt, or for that androgenous work look add a Circle jacket or great long Capilli Vest on top when wearing it with slim black pants.
The Deltoid Shirt
The Deltoid shirt is a great piece on it’s own, It gives the perfect amount of volume to enhance that Upside down triangle silhouette and it is clever beyond words, as it joins the geometric opposites of a circle and square together to make a wearable and intriguing shirt. The Essential Rain-Coat…
With the rain pitter pattering about, we thought it would be most appropriate to introduce our essential coat & more at taylor.
Rain no longer means washed out and drab…..not with the 100 % reversible Pyramid Raincoat… This versatile raincoat is black on one side for saving your ‘I’m going out tonight” outfit and either beige or molecule grey on the other for those days when you just do not want to be adding to the darkness of a rainy day. Yes these are the same coat in one!

How a skinny flat white led to the creation of Skinny Nelson and Friends…
We have just received our new shipment of Melbourne based and designed label Skinny Nelson and Friends in stores.
Having stocked their product alongside taylor since Winter 2009 we have found that their cuts and organic cotton basic and layering pieces compliment our style and go perfectly with a pair of red engine jeans.
This season they have mixed cotton and organic cotton (for durabilities sake) to create some cocooning, versatile, easy-to-wear, over sized tees, cardigans and capes.

A sneaky secret source has given us some inside scoop on how skinny nelson came to choose their brand name…Having a workroom on Nelson Street in Australia…in true designer style the team would pop down the road for a quick “skinny flat white” caffine fix…On one particular day however amongst the excitement of coffee consumption and ordering a “skinny flat white on nelson street” one of them mentioned that skinny nelson may not be a bad brand name either…Now don’t let anyone try to rob you of your much needed coffee break..or owning some amazing casual weekend pieces…See you armed with a skinny flat white in store soon…
Red Engine Jeans…..the perfect hand finished cut…
If you were not yet aware that we stock the authentic vintage inspired American Jean label Red Engine, then you may be missing out on the perfect fit for your shape. Designed and made in Los Angeles California, each pair are detailed and finished entirely by hand.
Former Vice President at Guess? Jim and his wife Kirsten (former designer of Guess?) set up the label in 1999. It was out of their garage that red engine emerged and still persist today, constantly searching for the best quality, softest denim and superior fit and wash.
Importing their denims from Europe and Japan and producing locally mean they are personally involved in all aspects from design to post-production.

Stretch skinny jean, with a 360 degree, four way stretch, matching the body’s natural movements creating more comfort and a skinnier fit. Slimming the hip area and lifting the back, these are available in dark wash.
Cayenne Super Skinny Jean
Cayenne:
Mid-rise super skinny cut on the leg, sitting just below the waist, in black and dark wash. These are perfect for wearing with all your longer tunic layers instead of leggings and are a bit more forgiving that the cinder.
Garnet Mid-Rise Bootcut Jean
Garnet:
Mid-rise boot classic cut in the leg, sitting just below the waist, in dark wash. If you like a good classic cut pair of jeans, which are snug at the thighs and taper away from the leg, this is the cut for you. Great with more fitting tops and sharp blazers and waistcoats.
Boyfriend Straight Leg Jean

Relaxed straight, loose leg, slouchy feel jean, sitting in the hip area, in blue crush wash. For a general cool, relaxed look, these jeans are both super soft and full of attitude. Teamed with layering basic tee’s, a necklace and you are away.

Wide waistband capri length, slim leg, sitting below the waist, in white and dark wash. If there is a need for a pair of casual 3/4 length trousers in your wardrobe, this could be what you are after. Working well with sandals, tucked into boots for winter and heels for a smarter occasion.

This is not about need, it is all about want… this season you must add a little leather your wardrobe.
The most soft and supple fine lambs leather jackets have just arrived at taylor. You just have to touch this amazing Italian leather to appreciate it’s quality.
