A knit dress is easily overlooked when there are so many gorgeous flowing silks and delicate mesh pieces jumping out at your from the racks. Never under estimate the knit dress, especially in summer. If you don’t know where to start with your Race Day wear it can be very hard to achieve. The easiest thing to remember is: -If you can wear it as a guest to a wedding, you can wear it to the Races! Take these outfits for example, easy to put together and perfect for either occasion.

1.The classic trench coat is practically timeless and utterly perfect for almost any occasion, over dresses for an evening out or running around day-to-day casually. Our Generale Trench comes in a Natural Linen and Black Silk/Linen (both pictured above) and as a raincoat in the memory Polyesters (including detachable rain hood). A classic cut well cut and timeless coat in perfect neutrals to go with everything… it’s at the top of our list for a reason!

2. We need not harp on about our skinny pants for too long as most of you will know already how fabulous they are as they are the best choice when wearing silky tunics and and fuller tops to balance the shape. Our Venetian Pants (pictured on the left) and our Integral Pants (pictured in the centre and right) are all our best sellers for a few seasons now. All taylor girls have at least one pair of these skinny pants, try for yourself to find out why, we cannot speak anymore praises!

3. A well cut jacket is an wardrobe essential. A good quality sleeve head and well finished jacket can be spotted at 50 paces. It can be worn as a relaxed jacket with t shirt and jeans or casually suited (as pictured left) or to work in as a suit (centre and right).  Look no further than our Destination Jacket, both flattering and timeless -it will instantly add that needed polished finish to an outfit. Go that extra step with your jacket … it may cost you that little bit more but it will be worth every penny!

4. For those that are not 100% sold on skinny pants, it may be because you have not tried them with our Camber Tunics. This is more that just a basic, it is your best friend in your wardrobe. If you have the slightest quip about “your bits”.  It is a longer line so it is an easy piece for a layered look but also scoops to make it interesting enough to wear with just Venetian or Integral Pants for a casual look. Coming in seasonal colours, one will not be enough, use our Camber Tunic for the purest form of layering.

5. Although we swear on our skinny Venetian or Integral Pants, you need at least one pair of trousers in your wardrobe….made up in a quality trouser weight fabric to satisfy your suiting needs (even if you do not need to dress like this for work). Our Garner Pants will work perfectly into a contemporary suit look but at the same time is a great pant that can be worn semi-formal and also causal…  it all comes down to how you wear it. Wear with the Destination Jacket for a suit, a silk top tucked in with block heels, or trendy ankle boots for semi-formal and team these with flat shoes and a t-shirt or tank to wear casual. Simple and easy!
