So it’s the summer holidays: catching up with good friends and family, lazy beach days and those wonderful long summer evenings…
With those holiday plans in mind, we asked a few of our Taylor girls what would be in their travel bags.
Shona, our Newmarket Manager, is off to Melbourne.
- My Sym top in 100% cotton as this makes it cool and breathable which is perfect for that Melbourne climate. I am teaming this with My red Engine Skinny Cropt jeans and my Brazilian Gladiator sandals for strolling around the shops.
- My Capilli Singlet in Black is the perfect travelling piece due to its versatility. I wear it as a singlet during the day and then backwards for the evening, which gives it an amazing ribbon detailing on the neckline that adds something a bit more glamorous.
- An Ostrich Tunic in White as I love wearing white in summer: it’s such a crisp look. The 3/4 sleeves will carry it through to evening and I feel so very elegant in it!
Vicki, our Designer, is off to Waiheke island with all her family…
It is hard to believe but I am going casual this season!
- Grey and White skinny nelson tailed tanks worn together over Red Engine Lotus cropt Jeans.
- A White Rhombus top and grey leggings. This piece is great as it is long enough to be a dress or tunic and can be thrown on over my swimsuit or teamed with leggings for an evening BBQ with friends. Of course, Haviana jandals will be the main footwear required on the island!
- My Capsule Tunic as I love this piece. It looks layered but is just one piece to put on, it doesn’t cling anywhere, and has that easy relaxed cotton look which is perfect for beach holidays. I will wear this with my grey leggings again.
Emilie, our Workroom Assistant, is going home to Christchurch to be with family…
- My electric blue Capilli singlet which I will be wearing on Christmas day
- My waterfall shirt dress for a dinner at “Strawberry fare” on new Years Eve
- I never go home without my Venetian Wrap from our last winter collection as it is just the best piece and I always feel great in it, and Christchurch can still get quite cold…

The Knotted Capsule Dress looks great. Can be worn both day and night time.
