What is luxury for you?

Posted on April 23, 2014 by Bruna Pastuk

What is luxury for you? The idea of luxury can change according to culture, gender, and age. For some people this is can be related to expensive items, for others, luxury is the more simpler things such as having free time. At taylor, luxury is quality. For us, what makes a luxurious product is the importance given to all the processes (from designing to making) which impacts on the final product. The beauty is in the high quality materials, the environmental and ethical aspects, and the relationship between the maker and the product.

All products we stock are very special for us. No matter if it is nail polish or a beautiful hand-dyed and hand-knitted Nikki Gabriel piece, they all carry the same idea of what luxury means to us.

Meet some of our favourite brands and find out why we admire and desire them so much.

It also features a low back 'V' which looks great paired with the Splinter Jacket's reversed 'V' back. Easter Treats

Posted on April 17, 2014 by Bruna Pastuk

On first glance, they look like chocolate truffles. But they are much more… Brigadeiro: a deep chocolate flavor with a chewy caramel texture that results in a unique experience after popping your first one. Enjoy Easter with this easy to make Brazilian treat.

1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder

2 Tablespoons Butter

Sliced almond

1.   Mix the three ingredients and put over low heat.

2.   Cook for 15 to 20 minutes stirring often until mixture has thickened considerably and a thick trail follows your spatula when you scrape the bottom of the pan. Make sure to stir often so the bottom doesn't burn.

3.   Cool mixture.

4.   Form small balls and coat with topping of your choice.

NOTE: Mixture is super sticky and takes a few tries to get the hang of working with. It helps if your hands are damp, but not wet.
