INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

In an office of mostly women (and two amazing men) we are proud to celebrate our incredible team! To kick off the day we spoke to our stylists, managers and workroom team about what being a woman in the fashion industry means to them.

"I am incredibly proud to work for a brand this is about empowering women to feel great and embrace their individuality. As a female leader and mother, I understand the responsibility that I have to set an example for women coming up in the industry. It is possible to have a career and a family and continue to support women to make the choices that are right for them will have the biggest impact on breaking the bias we currently face."

"I love to dress up using clothes and colour to express how I am feeling each day. It's amazing how an item of clothing or a pop of colour can make you feel good My moto I have for myself is ‘you are you, don’t let other people tell you otherwise’ so this I feel is so powerful as it's so amazing to be surrounded by such strong, inspiring and creative females in my life whom really inspire me to explore how we all express ourselves and tell our story through clothes."

Hayley's favourite piece from the collection is the Mollify Dress.

"We are unique and we are strong in our differences, this is what I celebrate every day working in this industry. I am honoured to have been part of many women's journeys through fashion over the years and absolutely love the transformative moments with my clients in-store. Janette and my favourite quote for this year is from Kate Sheppard who was also based in Otautahi Christchurch, "The rain that refreshes the parched ground is made up of single drops. All that separates, whether of race, class, creed, or sex, is inhuman, and must be overcome.

Sarah's pick for this season is the Vertex Coat in Outlaw.

"Taking a design from an idea to a physical creation allows me to communicate with women who I would never have known. I hope my designs empower and inspire women to be their best selves and excel in both their lives and careers."

"Whether I’m working with clients we know and have spent time building a phenomenal Taylor wardrobe for, or have only just introduced them to the brand, it gives me great energy to work with women and develop relationships when I know that each item is something I personally would take joy in owning. It’s important to me that clothing is produced consciously and is of high quality - I feel proud to be working with a team where I can have a hand in working with the clothes in the workroom one day, then selling them the next!"
