MEET OUR MANAGER | Wellington's Kay

We have someone new in Wellington we'd love to introduce you to. Meet Kay, our new Wellington Store Manager, Kay Patterson.
Kay has slotted into the taylor family so well, and is the perfect addition to the Wellington team, joining Tish and Samara in-store.
To officially welcome her into this exciting role, we asked Kay a few questions about herself you can get to know her a little better. If you’re in Wellington, don’t forget to pop into our boutique and introduce yourself.
Hi Kay! Tell us a little bit about yourself.
We have two grown-up amazing girls who we are super proud of, and one granddaughter! We are fortunate to have her stay every Friday. Last but not least, we have one fur grandbaby, who is still very important.
A little birdie told us you used to work at one of our taylor stockists, Chillis & More! Tell us what you did there and how you ended up in Wellington.
I was very privileged to have an amazing business partner, and we owned Chillis and More for about 10 years, which is where I first came across taylor. My husband Alan and myself decided it was time for a change and move to a city we both loved! I was working in retail in Wellington when the taylor role popped up, and thought it was the right fit.
What do you love the most about working with our Taylor Wellington clients?
They love the different shapes and are all about the different fabrics we have, plus they love the values our company holds. It’s been amazing getting to know all the amazing ladies who pop in.
How would you describe your own personal style?
I do like to push boundaries. I have spent a lifetime trying to live outside the box!
We have to talk about your amazing hair, it's become a Kay trademark! When did you decide to start dying it pink?
I have always been very adventurous with my hair; I have had many styles. I think the only colour it hasn’t been yet is yellow or green.
