Nailing it with Kester Black

With our beautiful long summer days we don’t want to be indoors – we want to spend more time out socialising in the sun. As such, applying nail polish is something you want to be doing once and making sure it lasts!

We love our beautiful colours this season from Kester Black. These include our classic Silverbirch and Buttercream that go with every outfit from work to play, as well as bright new colours like the bold Cherry Pie. We also love that they are all made cruelty free and are vegan, produced in Australia.

Here are some tips to help you get the most from your favourite Kester Black colours and to avoid the hassle of smudging and chipping.

• Use small thin strokes and apply four layers rather than two thick layers. The layers will dry faster and are less likely to chip.

• Use a good quality base coat and top coat. Kester Black has released a Two-in-One Top Coat and Base Coat to make it that much easier for you. Using a top coat once a week will also help to make your nails last.

• Always use gloves when washing the dishes (or better yet, enlist your partner to do them!)

• Most importantly, allow enough time for your nails to dry. We all know the temptation to do them and dash out the door, but wait about 45 minutes for them to dry and an hour if you want to have a hot shower.
