Introducing Interrupted Perfection, Summer 23/24. Drawing inspiration from Vicki Taylor’s time along the Otago Rail Trail last year. The panoramic views of towering mountains and meandering rivers passing by the scenery of the south.
This collection takes cues from small historic rail cottages scattered across the region. Defined by regular horizontal repetition of the natural timber boards, opposing dramatic scenery. Translating this slice of local New Zealand history into the collection, seen in layered panels, both vertical and horizontal, exploring calculated imperfection.

“Cycling through the heart of our South Island, you realise just how vast our countryside really is. One minute you’re in a patched landscape, the tail end of summer, and the next you’re deep in evergreen foliage, a sign of the new season arriving,” says Taylor, "As we recently opened our new Dunedin store, I wanted to pay homage to our new home, my personal love letter to Otago.”
The inspiration is reflected through the meticulous linear panelling, gracefully extending from the neckline to the hemline, elongating the silhouette and guiding the gaze along the fluid motion of each panel. These experimental pieces not only exude extraordinary style but also offer remarkable versatility, seamlessly transitioning from special occasions to everyday wear.

The season's colour palette takes literal form, drawing from the changing seasonal gradient. You’ll find an abundance of perfected suiting, synonymous with the taylor DNA. A wardrobe of dresses to effortlessly carry you through the event season, and two exclusive hand-painted prints, the result of a long-standing relationship between taylor and artist Rebekah Farr.

Black and Ivory: With warmer days ahead of us, now is the time to update your white and blacks to give your wardrobe the burst of freshness that it needs. Textures in black offer immediate interest in an outfit yet maintain complete wearability. Look to our black and ivory sheer styles this season that are subtle when stationary but with movement become dynamic.
Dark tones: Earthy and rich, these hues of green pair stunningly with the classics (black and ivory). Providing effortless sophistication and luxury to any outfit, with a touch of lustre highlighting the depth of this shade. They will become your favourite subtle black alternative for year-round styling.
Light tones: This softer shade of blue and beige are calming and fresh, offering a light relief as we move forward into the summer months. Pair with black or ivory for a clean-cut summer style or layer tone-on-tone for effortless textural dressing by mixing smooth, textured and knitted textures together.
