STAFF STYLE | THE VALIDATE COAT
Posted:
As the winter weather has now appeared across the country our wonderful team have been finding warmth and comfort in the coveted Validate Coat this season. Completely reversible the Validate Coat is extremely versatile, one side in a wool/alpaca blend and the other in a rain coating; you cannot go wrong with this piece. The Validate Coat is slightly flared on the body creating a flattering silhouette and the fully lined hood is perfect for when you get caught in the rain.
We checked in with our taylor team to see how they are styling this go to coat for winter. Check out their beautiful outfits below.
Mia is the newest addition to the taylor team and can be found working in our Britomart store and The Shelter in Ponsonby. Mia is a recent fashion graduate and we are so excited to have her talented eye for detail and design join the taylor team. Mia wears the Validate Coat in Brique as her statement garment in this chic day time look. Paired with the Outline Joust Pant and The Sheer Analogy Shirt she adds drape to the look whilst mimicking the pointed lines of the coat. The uneven hem of the Validate Coat draws no harsh horizontal lines or colour changes across the body’s widest part ensuring it is flattering for every body type. You can never leave the house without an Undone Tunic especially in winter and the Molecule Mesh is the perfect addition to this look to add some texture. Pair with your favourite eye wear like the Maske H54 by Kuboruam and a sneaker like the new Multitasker Sneaker Boot by Puro and you will be set for what ever the day throws at you!
Renee from our Wellington store knows how to dress well for the winter weather! We admire the way that Renee puts an outfit together with ease. This casual on the go weekend look is perfect for a brunch with friends before ticking off that to do list with the family. Renee wears the Validate Coat in Black with the shower proof rain coating to the outside. The fact that the Validate Coat is able to be worn two ways only adds to the reasons why we love this style so much. The revisable nature means the rain coating side suits going to watch weekend sport from the sidelines or the wool side which will take you out to dinner or and event. Worn either way you really can't go wrong. Renee pairs the black Validate Coat with the cotton silk Analogy Shirt and the Cropt Variegate Pant from the new season of our 10 pieces collection in Slate. For extra warmth and detail Renee wears the Silk Mesh Camber Tunic with a Black Extension Tank to complete the look. Add your favourite pair of sneakers like the Kanti Sneaker by Last Conspiracy to finish your outfit.
We adore the way that Julianna puts an outfit together. Recently graduating from university studying fashion design she has a natural intuition of how to make garments shine and make you feel your best. Showing us how you can wear the Validate Coat for evening, we think Julianna looks amazing. The length of the Validate Coat is perfect for wearing with any outfit, proportionally it can work with a dress but just as easily with a wide leg trouser or a slim jean. Pairing the Undone Tunic in Crossed Mesh with the Review Dress makes for the perfect winter combination. Adding the Extension Dress for warmth and detail finishes the look. The Validate Coat in Blue Stone adds a pop of colour to the outfit and the pointed hem line compliments the hem of the Review Dress. A heeled boot like the new Body and Soul Boot by Puro brings a X factor to the look and by adding a gold bracelet like the Romeus Heart Bracelet by Monarc you are ready to take on the night!
Mia shows us how the Validate Coat can work for a chic office look. She starts by wearing the Merino Camber Tunic for warmth and layering, topped off with the Magnify Shirt in Ash. The Magnify Shirt is such a great piece as the long neck ties can we worn in multiple ways making it versatile and sleek for the office. Paired with the Outline Joust Pant and the Sienna Fleek Validate Coat, Mia is ready for the day ahead. It is really handy that the sleeves can be adjusted and worn up or down to protect you from the elements and keep your hands dry and warm. We love the addition of the Mesh Kitten Heel by MM6 and the Little Edie Bag from local maker Samuel Mark Clyma.
