1. Make sure you have at least 3 layers in your look, not including a jacket.
2. Create visual focal points within your outfit, do this by using texture to draw the eye to certain points.
3. Keep your base layers all the same colour. i.e. If you are wearing black pants, make sure you wear a black cami to give a sleek silhouette that elongates the figure.
4. Aim to pair different strap and neckline shapes to create interest and to always disguise those bra straps.
5. Combine different lengths together - with short jackets over longer tops or long layers underneath short tops to show the layers in your look.
6. Always finish an outfit with a jacket, vest or coat over the top - the perfect way to add that professional finish your style.
