Body shapes

Triangle Pants

The triangle (or pear) body shape should aim to wear pants in a looser style to help emphasise and bring attention to their slim upper body. Our best selling Interim Pant are one of the most flattering styles for you - just remember your proportions and don't forget to tuck part of your top in or style them with a fitted top like our Attentive Shirt tied at the waist to balance the looser fit. If you are after a wide leg style, try our Optical Pant. When styling these pants our biggest tip is to layer your shorter tops with longer lined layers like our Undulate Camber underneath. Shop the best pant styles for the Triangle shape here.

Inverted Triangle Pants

Women with this body shape tend to have broader shoulders with slim legs, so aim to wear pant styles which show off your slender legs with straight and skinny styles. The Inverted Triangle also looks great in our flared Optical Pant. This style has a comfortable waist band and will help balance broader shoulders by creating symmetry and the illusion of shape in the bottom half of the figure. Not only is this wide leg style flattering for balancing the shoulders, it will also magically give the illusion of longer legs. Shop these best pant styles for the Inverted Triangle shape here.

Oval

Women with a rounded body shape should opt for pants with a slim cut and style them with longer lengths over the top. Wearing dresses over pants is the perfect option and don't forget to accessorize your look with long drop necklaces to create a vertical, slimming line down the middle of the figure. Oval figures should also add layers with undulating assymetrical hems, like our Undulate Camber Singlet or Silk Mesh Camber Tunic paired over skinny pants to create fluid movement and curves through the body. Vests and tailored jackets also work wonders by creating the illusion of shape, however keep the jacket open to create a long vertical line down the body. Not a fan of the skinny style? Then why not try a pencil skirt like our Fragment Skirt pictured above to showcase the bottom half of your legs. Shop the best styles for the Oval figure here.

Rectangle Pants

Rectangles tend to be slim 'up and down' figures with not as much waist definition as some of the others. Women with this shape need to be aware that emphasising the waist is the best way to avoid the square look. How to do that? Simply opt for skinny style pants like the Linear Cogent Pant, or the Diverse Parted Pant and style with tailored tops or jackets to cinch you in and give the illusion of a waist. If this is your body shape, you can also wear our Principal Venetian Pant to create natural curves within the figure. Shop the best styles for the Rectangle figure here.

Hourglass Pants

Women with this figure are the lucky ones who can wear any and every style of pants and look great. If you are a hourglass, feel free to take your pick from skinny, wide, boxy or flared pants! Our one tip is if you are wearing a looser style, aim to keep another piece in your outfit tailored, so that you keep a structured shape in one half of your silhouette. Also be aware of your waist to hip ratio and show off your hips with styles that flow down and off the hips rather than hugging them. Shop the best styles for the Hourglass shape here.
